Fun build that looks great!
This astronaut building kit is a fun, detailed project with a solid value for the number of pieces you get. The design stands out with its half-mechanical, half-human look and electroplated helmet, and once built, it makes for a nice display pieceâespecially with the flexible joints that let you pose it in different stances. Itâs not just a toy; itâs something that actually looks good on a shelf! Rare for these types of non-Lego kits. While the instructions are clear, the build is a bit intricateâour 8-year-old found it too challenging to do solo, so itâs probably better suited for kids around 10 and up, or even adults who enjoy detailed model kits. The parts feel durable and the fit is tight, so the finished figure holds together well. Overall, a cool gift idea for space fans or anyone into collectibles that offer a hands-on build experience.

Very nice model.
This is a very nice well-made assembly kit. I wouldn’t quite classify it as a toy, more like a model building. The parts are good. Quality plastic and fit together well enough. However, I don’t like how tiny it is, because that makes assembly that much harder. I do love how it shows both the inside and outside of the spacesuit. That gives some good educational value to illustrate the complexities.

Very pleased with this set so far. Checks all boxes for a high-quality Lego-like set.
I wanted to give this a timely review, as we’ve had the set for awhile but are building it very slowly – spending a few minutes here and there, casually. Fortunately, the pieces are nicely and clearly package by relevant portions of the build, and the instructions are mostly clear, so it’s easy to pick up wherever you left off and not be lost. So far, we’ve built most of the chest (without stickers yet), and it’s been both fun and the right level of challenging. Based on both the listing and other reviews and photos, we’re very excited about this build. I’ve built a number of sets from Lego-like and Lego-knockoff brands, ranging from large pirate ships to home decor to floral arrangement. I’ve learned that my assessment of these Lego-like/Lego-compatible brands comes down to a few factors: – Are the bricks/pieces good quality and to they join together easily and securely? – Are the bricks/pieces packaged in a clear, intuitive way (e.g. separate bags) that aligns to the instructions AND makes it practical (e.g. not having to open both Bag 1 and Bag 4 to build Part 3 of the instructions, and ending up with a mess of pieces)? – Are the instructions clear, logical, and laid out well for the builder? – Are the portions of the build (e.g., when you are piecing more than 2 or 3 bricks together) stable – meaning not too many parts are only joined by one peg, or are there too many weak points in the build? – Is the build an appropriate level of challenge (not because the bricks are poorly fit or instructions are bad, but because it takes appropriate patience, attentiveness, etc.)? So far in our build, the answer to all of those is “Yes.” This is probably the closest moderate-sized, more complex build we’ve done that’s only a little below the quality of the actual Lego brand. It surprised me how many other alternative brands we’ve done that have illogical packaging, really bad instructions, poorly fitting pieces, or illogical and weak overall builds. There are a few, but only a few, points in the instructions where I wish they’d showed a more clear sub-diagram of smaller pieces going together as there were a few points where we missed things (like it needed two 2×1 pieces instead of one). But the “parent” diagrams are accurate, so it was easy to redo those steps. So far, this whole thing is great quality, especially relative to its current price of $29.95 (on sale from $32.99). I think either price is worth it. Even though we got this through the Vine Program, I will be looking at more products from TYCOLE. They have a great variety of sets ranging from easy to hard, and all seem to be very reasonably priced and well-reviewed.

Nice and fun toy for those who like to build
This robot building kit is a fun and engaging toy, but it may be a bit tricky for younger kids, even those experienced with LEGO. My 6-year-old, who is great at building, found it a little challenging to put together. That said, once assembled, itâs a great toy with lots of interactive features. The pieces are good quality, and the end result is rewarding. A fun project for kids who enjoy building, but they might need some help along the way.

Lots of pieces
My 14 yo is building this.. there are a lot of pieces and it’s time consuming. Blocks are manageable and snap together fine. So far everything is staying snapped together. For what you pay, the “real” brand might be a first option

Space Astronaut
Space Astronaut is fun to build and for teenagers. It is not for young children.

It looks cool. that’s it.
the good – this astronaut set looks amazing when done. the quality of the bricks themselves are fantastic, very compatible with major brands.the bad – you cannot move it or reposition it without something falling off. the overall design is lacking, it uses too many double sided stud plates, which are not stable and come apart too easy. some of the colors look way too similar in the instructions, you cannot tell apart the blues and blacks. also, the applying the stickers at the end, as per the instructions, is a nightmare. it should have the stickers pre-applied, or advised during the building steps.
