Customers say
Customers like the playability, look, and value of the musical instrument toy. They mention it’s great for preschoolers, perfect beginner horns for toddlers, and is made with very thin cheap plastic. Some also have issues with functionality and difficulty blowing. Opinions are mixed on the sound quality and ease of use.

Nice set, durable, sound good
We have had our three-instrument set for a few months now. They have been played with by a three-year-old, six-year-old, and their many friends. We find the instruments in the bottom of a toy chest, the back of a closet, and in various piles around the house. We have witnessed them being thrown at walls, stepped on, and dropped. Through all this, they have been tough enough to stay in shape and not break. They are, however, made of fairly thin plastic, so I do expect that they will break someday. But with all the abuse they have taken, I am very happy with my purchase! My two young boys love to give concerts with them and march through the house in their pretend marching band parades. They actually sound pretty decent too! As a musician, it is important to me that any play instruments in the house are actually on pitch. These are tuned fine for me.Update: April 2021 and the kids still love to play with these. Holding up well.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
We bought this for our grandson, who owns REAL stringed instruments and knows how to care for such things. Of the three instruments (not sure which one, as he lives out of state), one arrived with a crack on the bell part of the instrument. His mom wasn’t too concerned about it, he was very excited to get three instruments that he could learn to play. Well, the crack became worse and completely “severed” the bell. The saxophone lost an entire strip of the finger pads. They did not fall off individually, just the strip came off the neck of the instrument. All of this happened in less than TWO DAYS. My daughter asked how much we paid for the set, thinking just a couple of dollars. When I told her, she said they were certainly not even worth a tenth of that, they were less quality than what you could get at a Dollar store. If I was tech savvy, I would include the pictures she sent. We ordered them a while before his birthday, and I just made the return time frame window to get a refund. That was easy, no complaints there at all. But to have such a price on such a poor quality toy instrument is ridiculous. Save your money and don’t disappoint your child.

Great Gift for Young Kids
My young ones (3 and 7) were ecstatic to get instruments and make a “band.” They have enjoyed pretending to play the different instruments and make different sounds with them. While I was nervous given the reviews on the product, my expectations were not that these would be real instruments and make real musical sounds and notes. Therefore, watching my kids enjoy them and be engaged by the make believe is exactly what I was hoping for.

Cheaply made
They are cheaply made, some pieces broke off in less than two days. Very flimsy. Not what I expected based on the description.

These have help up pretty well since Christmas despite getting banged around a bit
These have help up pretty well since Christmas despite getting banged around a bit. One key on one of the instruments did break, so it’s like that key is always being pressed, since the spring mechanism closes/stops the note. Also the mouth piece came off one so I had to glue it back on.It should be noted that if you are not actively depressing any of the keys, no sound will come out of these toy instruments. You must be pressing one or more keys down for sound to come out. Also, the more keys you press down at once, the harder you need to blow to achieve sound.

Expensive and terrible quality!
My 5 year old is obsessed with musical instruments, even though he got some real instruments for Christmas, we only allow him to use them with supervision. I thought these would be great for him to just play with whenever he wants….I should have paid more attention to other reviews. Not only are they extremely difficult to blow and get any sound, they are incredibly cheaply made, the sax and clarinet are already broken 2 days after Christmas. Save your money and look elsewhere or just spend a bit more and get a real instrument!

Best gift!
I thought my husband would kill me gifting these to my (now) 11 yr old son bc of off key use, play, and practice. However, I’m so glad I did purchase this darling, durable set bc my son absolutely loves each piece and loves learning how to play. He’s actually getting very good learning on his own from online videos. They have a good, clean sound and are not shrill or a waste of money. He plays on at least one every day.Great gift!

Breaks Easily – Kid loved it
This is a hard review to write; on the one hand the instrument is cheaply made and not worth the money, but on the other hand my children absolutely LOVED this thing. It was mostly for pretend playing but both my 3yo and 6yo could make the notes by pressing different keys and blowing. They had jam sessions and played with it for a solid 48hrs. Until it broke (pictures attached).Upon arrival, I was skeptical it would last. I actually thought theyâd say it wasnât a REAL clarinet and be disappointed. But they took right to it and started tooting away. When it broke real tears of sadness were shed.I do not believe I will purchase again, it just wasnât rugged enough to be handled by kids who actually want to use it for more than just imaginary play. Iâll likely look for a used practice clarinet instead.
