Customers say
Customers find the science fundamentals kit fun to watch grow. They also like the cute design and ease of setup. However, some customers have reported issues with value for money, egg hatchability, and death rate. Additionally, they mention that the shrimp died within 3 weeks and the tank was leaking at the bottom.

So excited & pleased!!
I’ve been looking for a low maintenance pet, that also doesn’t take up much room. Was considering goldfish, but — to care for them properly — even they were more work (& more expensive) than I wanted. Don’t know how I lucked into Aqua Dragons but I’m so pleased I did.The price ($20) was right, and the kit came with everything. While I waited for delivery I watched the videos on YouTube on proper set up and care. The kit arrived in perfect condition. I used bottled spring water in the tank, and used the pipette to aerate the water even before adding the egg mixture. Then the waiting began. The directions said to add 1/2 a spoonful of food the next day, which I did, and the following morning (about 41 hours) I looked with the magnifier and thought there were a couple of hatched aqua dragons. Later in the afternoon (about 46 hours) I looked longer, and there are DOZENS of aqua dragons swimming in there!! I can’t believe how many hatched!I’m really enjoying this and am keeping careful track to see how things progress. I’ll try to update once they get bigger. But as far as I’m concerned I’ve already gotten my money’s worth.Update: the Aqua Dragons are one month old today, and they’ve really grown. I’ve added an updated video. The original bunch of 50+ dragons whittled down to about 25. I’ve been very careful to continue to follow directions, and they seem to be pretty healthy. I really am enjoying these guys — they’re a LOT of fun to watch. And sometimes I’ll move their little tank to different places in the house. I think I’m enjoying these little guys more than I would have enjoyed fish.

Fun… even for teenagers!
I bought these for my 8th grade science classroom. My students love checking on them and watching them! I was afraid they may not do well since my classroom is chilly (usually between 66 and 68 degrees) and I don’t have windows. So far, they are still thriving after two months. I have them under a grow light. Some have recently died, but there are still at least four or five. These are still a hit for my “too cool for school” 8th graders. Some of them want to get their own. I teach physical science, but this is a nice review of life science concepts they learned last year.

Tricky to grow but once you figure it out – so fun
We bought a set of the aqua dragons and none survived over a few days. Contacted the seller and they replaced. The directions are somewhat vague but what works for us is to aerate every other day and to feed every third day. We now have adult aqua dragons as well as babies. The adults are quite active so looking forward to the babies getting bigger.

Cool experiment, but not as exciting as I expected.
I bought 2 of these. 1 as a gift and 1 for our kids. I was highly disappointed when only 10 aqua dragons hatched and only 2 lived longer than a week. They were fed and taken care of when and how instructed. I reached out to see if the one we gifted had better luck but learned they had the same experience. My kids still loved the experiment but were sad it did not last long.

Patience is key; follow instructions!
We’ve had our aqua dragons for at least three months. We’ve seen several life cycles and just found a whole new batch of freshly hatched babies! The kids lost interest but I’m very invested in them. They’re so crazy cool! It’s important you use the squeeze thing to put air into the water since there isn’t a pump, and don’t feed too frequently or you get gunk. All of this is outlined in the directions. Highly recommend!

Such fun!
Bought as a gift for a seven year old boy. He was totally amazed by these sea dragons and even said it was the best gift he received. Super cool watching them hatch and taking care of the sea dragons. Makes for a unique gift alternative to a toy.

Easy to setup! Lots of live aqua dragons!
Iâm very satisfied with this aqua dragons kit. It was easy to setup. I used bottled spring water in my tank and got great results. 24 hours after mixing in the packet, I could see so many tiny aqua dragons moving in the water.I strongly recommend aerating your tank at least once daily for a couple of minutes each time. Do this by gently squeezing bubbles into the water using the plastic pipette that comes in the kit.I didnât add anything that didnât come with the kit to avoid contaminating the water with chemicals that could harm the aqua dragons. No sand, pebbles, rocks, corals or other decorations. Besides, there wasnât really enough room available in the tiny tank.Best practice would also include washing your hands prior to handling the plastic pipette or feeding spoon. And itâs better not to touch the water with fingers. After many months of having a bunch of thriving aqua dragons, it finally came down to having one left. And eventually I didnât see anything in my tank.Iâm glad I didnât dump the contents of my seemingly aqua dragon-less tank immediately. I decided to keep using the pipette to aerate the water in the tank daily. And to my surprise, two weeks later I noticed a young aqua dragon swimming around. I remembered how a pregnant adult had died and it probably hatched from one of her eggs. (The more you read about brine shrimp, youâll learn how fascinating these little creatures are.)I have since added some brine shrimp eggs to my aqua dragons tank to repopulate it & so my lone aqua dragon wouldnât need to be alone. I bought the brine shrimp eggs separately. This is a great kit for kids & adults. Itâs a good way to learn about responsibility and patience. And although not necessary, doing some research by googling brine shrimp can be beneficial to both humans and aqua dragons. If youâve tried raising the sea monkeys brand brine shrimp with less than satisfactory results, this aqua dragons kit will likely be better than your expectations. If youâre on the fence between sea monkeys & aqua dragons, I recommend this product.

Parent-child interactive products
My kid saw this product in the video and asked me to buy it.She said she wanted to raise fish and wait there every day for the arrival of the little life.About three days later, we actually saw the little life moving. We were both so happy. This product is really great, it cultivates childrenâs reverence for lifeItâs so educational. I strongly urge mothers to buy one for their children to play with.

Actually surprise it worked. Although it are creepy as hell as they swim around. Low maintenance a little pricey but kid likes it.

Well, they all hatched successfully but they grow really slowly and after 3 weeks I only had 6 left… Not even adult.

Arriver avant la date prévue, très satisfaite.

We followed the directions exactly. I read reviews and was extra careful since some were not good. They hatched, they swam for three days. Then they all died. Very sad. Huge waste of money.
