Great toy for tummy time!
I bought this before my baby was born for tummy time and started using it just days after birth. She was already curious about the noise from just a few days old! Now she is three months and starting to bat at it to make noise. It, and the Hape rainstick, are really the only toys that I found useful straight from birth, and that I foresee her enjoying for the next several months, if not longer. I love that it doesnât require batteries and makes noise even with gentle movement from a baby. My baby is very easily overstimulated, but this is entertaining without overwhelming her. That being said, you will need to place the toy on a hard, flat surface. It will need manually moved on a rug or play mat. But on hardwood a gentle touch sends it rocking and even spinning! We love this toy!

Super cute, but do be aware that it only does one thing, and only when you make it waddle. I should have read the description more carefully – I thought it would kind of waddle across the floor – but it only waddles back and forth in place. It spins well, though, and the chime isnât annoying. I think the music notes are a little misleading; it doesnât play music or anything, but it does have a soft little bell inside. Itâs a cute, sturdy, simple toy with no batteries, so if thatâs what youâre looking for, youâll probably like it just fine.

Our 5 month old is obsessed
We bought this wobbler when he was 4 months old and he seemed to enjoy it from the start because of the cute musical noise from the metal bell that rings when it rocks. A month later, he’s utterly obsessed with the penguin and lights up anytime we bring it out. He bops it with his hands and spins it now and tries to pick it up himself (fair warning, it’s heavy – about 2 lbs. so don’t leave your baby with it unattended! They will try to pick it up!!). We use it for side lying practice to help with rolling and we use it during situp practice on the tray of his Upseat.I also have discovered that Sandra Boynton has a wonderful baby book called “Your Personal Penguin” that has a song that goes with the book and this wobbler is a great story-time to compliment the story when you sing it. Everytime the book has a page with the words “I want to be your personal penguin!” I jingle the penguin wobbler for him. Try it!!

Cute little blue penguin. Makes a soothing chime sound when rocked. My little one loves him. Quality seems solid and will last for a long time. I think this guy would be fun for 0-3 year olds.
