Pirate King is a similar card game to Spades or Wizard but with extra levels of complexity (should you choose to include them). It is a blast to play at the bar or in a casual evening at home. It can be played fairly superficially and can be ramped up with strategies galore.This card set is all of the basic needed for the complete game and is of good quality. Like all cards, they can get worn and sticky over time, but these seem typical in their durability.

I really like this game. It’s pretty quick to learn and they have a with the video tutorial if you aren’t much of a rule reader. I also love that the game starts off easy and then gets more challenging as the rounds go. I think this is a perfect game for an adult game night. Especially if you have a group that enjoys betting. Since you have to bet how many hands you will win before you play each round. And best of all it’s small enough to travel and accommodates groups up to 8. That’s a bit of a hard find in the board game world! So this would be perfect for group trips or game nights.

Just enough elements of chaos to make it fun. There’s no single “highest card in the deck”, it’s kind of more of a rock-paper-scissors as to which card is highest. The game is all about predicting accurately how many tricks you will take.A good two-person version with a ghost hand playing blindly, which adds fun amount of chaos.

Great group game
Our family loves board/card games. Skull King didn’t disappoint. The game play is very similar to Wizard, but with added components! You can play your hand perfectly and still miss your bid due to the Kraken or White Whale!! Bid zero late in the game and rack up the points!

Este juego tiene la mecánica de Bazas, es decir , cada jugador juega una y solo una carta y cuando todos hayan puesto su carta en la mesa, gana el que haya puesto la de mayor valor. El mayor valor no siempre es un número, a veces es un color o un tipo de carta especial.El juego se divide en 10 rondas y en cada ronda se entrega el mismo numero de cartas, en la primera una carta, en la séptima, siete cartas. Esto garantiza que a media partida todos los jugadores habrán entendido las reglas.Antes de cada ronda, cada jugador ve sus cartas y apuesta cuantas bazas cree que ganará con sus cartas. Al final de cada ronda se cuentan los puntos y se preparan para la siguiente.En mi experiencia este juego es la mejor manera de introducir el juego de Bazas a quien no lo conocen, siempre ha sido un éxito en la mesa con jugadores jóvenes y grandes. No tiene dependencia del idioma más allá del reglamento y unas cartas de ayuda pero que no son indispensables.

Muy bueno, si juegas las 10 rondas se puede hacer largo, pero puedes acortarlo al gusto. Es como jugar a la pocha pero con un factor sorpresa que dan los piratas que puede echar al traste todas tus cuentas, tremendamente divertido.
