Creative fun and so functional
I ordered this cat art project for my 9 year old granddaughter. It meet her 3 favorite things to do. 1 read books before falling asleep at night. 2 she loves to do art projects with me. 3 she loves cats. I couldnât go wrong with this cute cat lantern. Amazing gift, just way smaller than expected
The Cat Lamp Kit is a fun DIY project for kids, but it’s quite smallâabout the size of an adult hand. Itâs perfect for ages 8 and up and makes a cute night light once painted. Just keep in mind it’s more of a mini craft than a major gift.

Fun crafts, not great result as light
I got the 2 cat set to do with my daughter. She chose laying down cat and I took the upright one. Took us a while to decide how to paint them, but once we did we got started and it was fun because we like to paint. The paints come with a lot of colors. But they’re pretty dry, so needed to be mixed with water and then clumps worked out before using. The paints stick nicely to the base but require multiple coats to really cover the white base. Our biggest disappointment came when she decided to see what they looked like with the light turned ON! Shock, horror, sadness.. after all our work they look TERRIBLE as nightlight! The light is a good brightness if you don’t care what it actually looks like though. That’s why these only got 3 stars from me.

Cute, fun activity!
Smaller than we thought but I hadnât checked the size. With the first coat of paint it looks kinda streaky, Iâm hoping that with a second coat it will look more smooth. That said, they are cute and fun to paint. They are a tough plastic so not easy to break. Itâs a fun kit and a fun activity and even if you donât paint them they are cute. Worth the money, would totally buy again.

This is such a cute lamp! I love the small sized bear a lot, I am glad it wasnât as big as I first thought! (It is about 4â x 3â. My granddaughters all seem to enjoy doing crafts with me, and I love to engage them with things like this. So, she enjoys doing the craft, and then also gets the benefit of hours of use of this little lamp in her room. It really is a hit in more than one way. Plus, I had the thrill of time with her doing the painting.The lamp is hard plastic that is easily painted. (And if necessary, it can be painted again at a later time!)The kit includes different colours, which then can also be mixed to make even more colours, and there are 2 sizes of brushes, a wide and a small one to paint tiny details.I recommend this item and this experience!

Recently, I bought the Paint Your Own Moon Lamp Kit for my daughter. She enjoyed it tremendously, since this is such a fun and creative project that kept her busy for many hours. This kit includes everything you need to paint and decorate the moon lamp. Colors are pretty vibrant.So, all the instructions were pretty simple and straightforward, thus very suitable even for a child of any age. My daughter is 7, and she made it herself. Afterwards, the night light was gorgeous, and now she proudly has it in her room.The thing I like most about it is that it’s not something you do once and it’s over; it could serve as a night light after that, meaning it’s a crafty project but also quite useful. It’s a great birthday or party gift idea, too, and something the kids can brag about, having made all by themselves.Overall, it’s a great kit in which the kids get to be really creative and have fun, yet they end up with something useful, which is just cool. Highly recommended!

A fun activity, everything (paint, brushes, the sheep, etc) is included! The paint washes up/off things easily, and there are a variety of colours included. You can get as creative as you want, or just go “traditional”, it’s entirely up to you. A great rainy day activity, or for a sleepover to keep kids occupied. Or, even for adults! 5/5

I love the puppy design, and there are others in the series.With a complete project kit included, which includes a fine and wider brush, mixing palette, twelve (12) different colours, accent bling, and the puppy shaped lamp. This is perfect for an afternoon creative project, and there is enough paint and supplies to get the lamp finished with extra paint to spare.The puppy lamp is powered by button batteries and it emits a warm white colour. I would have preferred this to be rechargeable, or powered by a more readily available battery . Changing the batteries will require another order for the proper sized button batteries. Also, it you are working on this with children, those batteries are a choking hazard for kids, and pets, alike. So, a rechargeable solution would have been preferred.The paint does need to be applied in a uniform way. I found that if the paint was applied too thick, the light did not show through as well. The body of the lamp is more opaque than translucent, meaning the light does not illuminate through the lamp, making the areas with a thicker layer of paint with not be as vibrant when viewing in the dark.All in all, this is are really cool gift idea for the puppy lover in your life. They are able to decorate the puppy any way they choose. I think this style of painted lamp project would be really suitable for older adults, and it would be an activity that can be completed by a family. The end result is as good as you make it. The small puppy shaped lamp would be excellent as a night light, or a statuette in a washroom, or even a Livingroom. I would order this set again, perhaps in a different style, if available. I would order these as a gift, or as a project to be completed in a group. Very fun and a decent value for a customizable lamp. There are other variations of this with other animals, I would order this again, or another from the series.Recommended based on quality, completeness of the kit, age range, fun factor, and value.In the event that experiences change or evolve, updates may be made to this review to address such developments.
