Perfect Gift for Stroke Recovery
Absolutely recommend! My grandfather had a stroke last year, and since then his motor skills havenât been the same. I was looking for something that he would enjoy and that would also encourage him to use his hands more and this was the perfect gift. Itâs engaging, easy to use, and has really helped keep his hands active. Weâre so happy with it!

Needs a bit more tweaking
This activity board is a great concept, however the very small openings of the beads to thread makes it very difficult for someone with dementia, Parkinson’s, or arthritis to maneuver the thread into. It is an awesome activity for the brain, I would just want to have it a little more mobility friendly. and perhaps brighter colors to be able to help those with slight visual and cognitive impairment.

Good Activity for Children
I use this product to work on visual motor skills and bilateral coordination with children and I have not used it with adults. I like the design cards that came with the game and I found clever the little stand for the cards, as it keeps the cards at a good angle. I am giving four stars because the product is cheaply made as I could see some dry silicone used to glue the wooden cylinders and also the board could be smoother. The product is a little overprice, in my opinion. The children enjoy making the designs and it is easy to use for little hands, but I think and elderly person could potentially have difficulties placing the string in between the wooden cylinders because of the little spacing in between them. The size of the board and the cards was smaller than what I was expecting, but so far the children have not had problems reproducing from the model.

Great challenge board!
The Snabbles Threading Board is made very well! It’s great for persons with dementia, or even persons that suffered a stroke and need to practice getting their motor skills back. This game comes with 20 two-sided challenge cards and enough corded rope to follow along with the pattern. This is a great challenge board, and it’s a great value to many!

Fun brain game
I think it looks easier than it is. Comes with pattern cards and holder. Nice independent game for all ages.

Big fingers might not enjoy this
This did not work for a man as the “tunnels” (his words) were too close together for his fingers. Also the cord frayed after using it one time as the edges of the “tunnels” are not rounded. It would have been easier to explain had the colors been brighter and primary colors. When pushing the cord through, a person has to feed it through and not just push it which is a little hard. It all depends at what point a person is in their journey if they will like it or not. Maybe a person who liked to sew and has small fingers might enjoy this, but my friend did not.

Occupational Therapist: “Great for fine motor skills, maybe not the most fun thing ever”
I have tried this item with elderly patients and also younger patients. It is likely more suitable to elderly who have fine motor coordination/dexterity problems as it’s not super fun and engaging for younger patients. The listing does mention dementia and perhaps it could be a good therapy tool for them but they would not be my first choice. I have a lot of elderly patients who lose their fine motor dexterity and am constantly trying to find suitable activities for them that aren’t too babyish but really hone in on the skills we’re working on. I do home health sometimes and this will be a lightweight tool to fit in my bag so I do like that. It’s not super huge and will fit in an average tote bag very well and as I said, it’s not heavy. For elderly patients, I do wish the colors were higher contrast and make sure you have a lot of light on when using it. The holes are so small and to the side so they can be a challenge to see. However, it will take patients a fair amount of time to do this so it’s a good value – if you’re addressing fine motor, you only need 2-3 tools per visit and this is a great one. It uses a regular shoelace which if lost, is easily replaced. You could even replace it with a bright orange or bright red one for contrast.I haven’t used the cards. For me they are somewhat redundant.
