Good quality but kind of expensive. Always look at the bottom peg!
The bottom peg on these horses is 1/4″ diameter and is round. I thought all the horses were the same until I compared this horse to the horses on a game I already own. This horse fits better than the horses that came with my game.The horse pegs on my current game are smaller than 1/4″ and are also an oval shape. They fit into the board but can be tilted easily. This replacement horse fits better and stands up nicer. The peg under the flange is also slightly longer.I thought that all of these horses were exactly the same and were all done using the same mold. I didn’t realize the difference on the bottoms until I ordered this replacement horse. The horse sculpture seems to be the same as all the others though.

This is a replacement horse for a horse racing game. I ordered this to use in a project for a horse race lover. It is made well with clear details. It is a heavy weight. It does not stands on its own.

This metal piece appears to belong to a horse racing game that has a wooden board where you bet and roll dice, which I don’t own. Instead, I used it as an ornament that I affixed to a fascinator/hat for Derby Hat Day at work. I wrapped the bottom portion with wire and affixed it to a clip. I was happy how it turned out.It’s well made and since it’s not plastic, it has some weight to it.Height is about 2.25″ x Width is about 2.125″.You’ll save more money if you buy a set vs on its own.

Well made, weighty decoration
Used these as decoration for a horse racing party and these worked great. I’m not sure what game they’re intended for, but they are well made and have a bit of weight to them as well. The size is perfect for a table decoration. Look for the set instead of the single one as the set is a much better value.

I wanted to order one of these to paint, but it’s actually much nicer than I imagined — larger and better quality! I now plan to leave it as is and make a base to stand it in (it won’t stand on its own as it’s meant to be a replacement piece for a horse racing game). Definitely a fun piece for anyone who loves horse racing!
