Fun advent calendar for kids (young or just at heart)
I picked this and others up for my nieces and nephews. It’s small, but will provide an nice bit of entertainment and keep the holiday tradition of advent calendars going.

really cute and tiny
These are 24 really tiny diamond paintings in a Christmas theme designed to be used as a keychain for kids to do. This comes in a sturdy box and it even has simple instructions on how to do it – this is the first kit I’ve seen that has diamond painting instructions – and in several languages. It comes with several plastic keychain attachments and several gold colored metal ones for finishing. It does not have all the diamonds that you will need to finish this kit because ours was missing half of the large black ones. We ended up substituting the smaller black ones instead, which left some sticky around the edges. Disappointing that they didn’t have better quality control. Also, it doesn’t have any resealable bags to put them in, so you will need to use some small bags for that. It comes with only one tool, one tray, and one wax square, so if you have other trays from other kits, you will also want to use those. The diamond part is only one side of the keychain, they other is a color picture, so still cute. I think kids will love making these and they should work up fast for those younger ones with a shorter attention span.

Not an advent calendar
We were looking for a fun and unique advent calendar, something other than candy and toys. This seemed perfect. Until we got it home and it isn’t in individual numbered doors like a real advent calendar. It is still cute. And something fun to do. But if your looking for an advent calendar, this is not it.

Not individual kits
I got this thinking that I could drop them into gift bags but there is only one set of tools. But my granddaughters had a great time making one of them and they wanted to make all of them. But since it is only September I put the kit away and we plan to have it as an activity at our tree trimming party the day after Thanksgiving. One of these little projects only takes a few minutes. And the girls had lots of fun.

Not an advent calendar. Box of loose activities.
I don’t know the quality of the items as of yet, but this is not an advent calendar. It’s literally a box of activities. I’m assuming there are 24 activities, but they are all thrown in a small box. I’m very disappointed since it was advertised as an advent calendar. Now I will have to put them in 24 separate boxes of some sort I guess. Very disappointing.
