Ok, I bought this because my son has been obsessed with Pirates lately and his favorite toy is Lego, so I thought letâs give it a try. The price is reasonable and it works fine with brand names. It is pretty easy to assemble but I did help my son (6years old). It does not come with Pirates. It works perfectly as you can see in the pictures. No missing pieces

Awesome for the price
I know it is literally right there in the title, but I totally missed that these come with the LEDs that light up. That is very cool and makes this an amazing value for the money. The price is significantly less than the name brand version and the pieces are interchangeable with that named brand, so for us this is a no brainer. The quality seems to be on par with the name brand. We absolutely would order this again.

I love the movable parts. Excellent directions. No missing parts! I love the stickers. It had lights!CONS: Some of the pieces need reinforcing (that is, the hinges and, in particular, the balcony) since they continue to fall apart.WHATâS IN THE BOX: The puzzle and directions!REVIEW: What a fantastic experience for kiddos and the adults with them. Our Goddaughter built this kit and had so much fun in the process. The directions were perfectly suited for her. She is 10 years old.If youâre wondering, it took us solid day to put it together. That was a pretty casual pace, and we had fun the entire time.It was a long process, but along the way, she could see things taking shape and so she was never bored or losing interest.The packaging was well done, and we had all the pieces as outlined in the directions.The string of lights was a nice touch. Though, I thought it was going to be a little more, precise placement, than it was. Basically, you just run the lights where it seems best. The photos make it seem better than it is. But for our Goddaughter, she loved it no matter what!And, at the end of the process, well, the fun has just begun! This becomes a toy for toys! All her little figurines and small critters now have a home and place to live and play!Pro tip, maybe get some clear bowls (about 4-5) to hold the pieces during the construction. This will help you see them and pick them out. We used zip-lock baggies, but they had such a glare to them it was hard to see the pieces. Even a box would be better than clear bags. I would not just spread them around, but itâs not horrible if you do.Also, when you string the lights, be sure to leave enough slack in the string so it doesnât stretch when you open and close the hideout. We had to restring the lights a couple times and you can imagine the carnage that it created with pieces falling off here and there. It was all good though because our Goddaughter just started to ad lib her creation at that point.Be sure to keep the directions and box. At some point we will break down the kit and put it back into the box. Toys like this are a great experience, but it seems like a one-time-deal. Good thing there are many kids out there! So, pass it on!AMAZON PHOTO/DESCRIPTION ACCURACY: There are a few photos that exaggerate what you can probably do with the lighting. And at least one photo shows 5 gold bars in the treasure chest (there is only 2)â¦. All this is minor.VALUE/VERDICT: An excellent experience for kiddos and adults. I would consider the price, at $29.99 to be on par for a kit like this. Maybe a little better than par!

Amazing value set with some rare pieces
My boys are in peak Lego ages (7-9) and one of them has a whole pirate neighborhood in the broader Lego city, so this set was right up his alley. It fits perfectly with the name-brand stuff and has a bunch of unique pieces including the monkey, the awning, the anchor, and the barrel. It’s a wondrous kit that will fuel the imagination and at a pretty good discount from the Lego prices.

My son loved this! My 11 yr old spent an afternoon building and playing with this. He loved it. The instructions are easy to follow, the blocks are nice and I think for the price it’s a very nice set.

Brick built pirate model
Nice graphics on the product packaging, so this would be very giftable for a LEGO pirate fan. The bricks seem to be of good quality and compatible with LEGO brand. There are no minifigures, so bummer but there were none advertised or expected. The graphics are all stickers, including the flag and map pieces; this is a disappointment to me and makes the product feel cheaper. The instructions are clear and printed in color. The 3 in 1 aspect isn’t a rebuild, you can simply pull pinned sections apart and reconnect. Overall, this is a good model but missing some features to make it premium.
