Educational and fun
I have a very active one and a half year old granddaughter who simply does NOT have time to sit still. Her parents wanted to introduce her to some more educational-based activities so I (a former educator) searched for something appropriate and NOT electronic to give her. This kit is great! Even if we can only get five minutes a day of focused educational time, this is the way to do it. There are so many wonderful tools included and the bright colors and illustrations help to hold the child’s attention. I’m very pleased with the purchase and know these activities will get used for quite awhile.

Good learning tool, good cards for my nephew
My nephew is autistic so he needed a bit more help with learning how to express his emotions. The cards durability is okay but he has bent and messed up a few of the cards so just be aware they are thick paper but can be damaged or ripped up. The amount of information they provide is a lot to go through but it provides my nephew with a bunch of things to learn from slowly. It is definitely a big of a learning curve for kids of this age so just be aware of that. The flash cards are nice. They are able to help him visualize the word he is looking at. I have used it everyday with him and he’s starting to at least get some of the words down and able to point to an item and say that the item is which is a plus for me. The actions and emotions are a bit harder for him but he can use them to point at what he is feeling based on what he visual sees on the card a bit easier. He can also use the cards as a way to tell us what he is feeling. The cards can be a bit much to read through for some kids so just be aware of that when getting this. The busy board provided is not too bad but it does not hold his attention for very long. It is a good way to kind of test how well he can name certain objects. The big book is not bad but same thing for him. Overall these are really good tools to have for learning for kids with autism and developing kids. They may be a bit much for some but it is one of those things you can use for several years. Just make sure you are aware that these are not laminated cards and although thick in paper can be damaged relatively easily. Regardless, they are a good additional learning tool to help with early child development but the level can feel a bit high for some.

Highly engaging, Builds language skills, Good value
I ordered this learning box for my 18 month granddaughter who I live with half time. She loves finding and pointing to pictures in books, and is also beginning to build her speaking vocabulary. This set is perfect for helping her develop these skills and she is having so much fun with it. There are two sets of picture cards, one with âThings That Goâ and the other with âActions and Emotionsâ, Each card has a hole in the corner so the group can be attached to the included plastic rings and flipped through. There are two colorful books that have images on each page. The images are large enough to be easily seen and arranged nicely on the page. There is also a double sided board with a beach scene on one side and a camping scene on the other where she can match shapes with Velcro. All of these images and words help build her language skills. I really like that everything is clear and colorful, and presented in a way that is not visually cluttered. She engages with this set with an adult or older child, as well as independently. It is well made and for all that it offers, I think it is a good value.
