Fun & Makes You use Your Brain!
I use this in my classroom and my kids love it! I love how they really try to solve the patterns without giving up until they succeed!

Great game, even the adults were enjoying it!
The game comes with a set of cards for the user to attempt to match the pegs to. It was funny because my father-in-law actually decided to use it himself. It’s actually a good brain teaser.

Fun without batteries
This is a cute wooden logic puzzle that asks kids to slide shape and color pieces to fit the pattern shown to them on a card. The pieces don’t come out of their continuous track, so advanced planning is required. With 18 cards printed on both sides, there are 36 puzzles to solve. You could also solve for rows or columns all of one color or shape, etc. There is a knack to it that older kids will grasp quickly. A small sand timer is included that runs about a minute. The user recommendation is 3+ because of small parts if it breaks. The 12 color pieces on one side of the board are attached to the shape pieces on the other side. The puzzle board is meant to be placed into notches inside the wooden tray, and the puzzle looks like an open laptop in that position. Kids who tried it out for me preferred to hold the puzzle board in their hands while they slid the pieces around. The light weight wood is all nicely sanded and has rounded corners. I put a drop of plain water on the surface, and it beaded up, indicating there might be a light sealer applied as a finish. But a light sealer might not be enough to wash off marks or stains so I’d ask kids to wash their hands before play. There were no instructions included, but the box it came in gave clues about how to set it up. Everything stores inside the wooden box, which is 9.25 by 7.7 inches and an inch and one-eighth deep. The puzzle board fits neatly on top.As for the timer – none of my testers wanted to use it. The only info to be gained is whether someone solves the puzzle in less than a minute, exactly a minute, or more than a minute. Pull out a stopwatch if you want to make this a timed competition.

Hands-on puzzle for early critical thinking
Opportunities to work at problem-solving are critical for children, who must learn how to engage their brain in this way, but abstract concepts are often difficult for children to hold and manipulate with their minds. This is why word problems tend to be trickier than a math problem written out, and why, especially in younger grades, manipulatives have become such a popular teaching tool. Children benefit from having a concrete way to interact with abstruse ideas. A product like this, then, is a great way for children to exercise logic and creativity to solve a problem in a hands-on way.The set includes the main unit, which consists of the double-sided board with its wooden beads or counters, and the tray. The board is lightweight with slightly rounded corners, and the counters are painted a solid color on one side. If you turn the board around to the reverse, they show four shapes instead. They are chunky and sturdy, so they’re easy to manipulate and should hold up over time. The tray supports the board in an upright, angled position for working with the materials and also doubles as storage for it and the other components, including a sand-timer, a set of challenge cards, and a slim wooden stand to hold the latter two in place while your child is busy with the board. There are eighteen double-sided cards, with a colors puzzle on one side and a shapes puzzle on the other. They are thin, so for use in a daycare or classroom, you may prefer to laminate them. The sand timer takes about a minute to run (mine was 57 seconds), but since it is silent, a child may not notice that it has stopped. Conversely, if they keep looking away from their work to check the timer, that would be a huge distraction, so you might consider discarding the time limit, or choosing a timer with an audible ending. The quality of the set is adequate for the purpose, though it’s no heirloom piece. I noticed no obvious defects or issues, and everything worked as it should. Another adult and I had fun playing around with it to see how the puzzle works, and it should be good mental exercise for a child, or perhaps a senior trying to keep sharp.

Adaptable for different ages
This little puzzle board is good for little ones to practice fine motor skills moving the pegs around and sorting colors, can be used for slightly older children to try and match the pattern cards, and has a timer for children old enough to use it as a game or challenge. It’s sturdy enough for maybe kindergarten age, but I will be watching my preschool students closely to make sure it doesn’t get broken by rough use. It seems to made of pine and could have slightly smoother edges, but is probably fine for children older than my students. Nice smooth movement on the colored pegs, and like that it’s made to store everything inside.

Good set
I like this simple Montessori toy which helps the kids to focus and follow the pattern on the cards. It comes with a nice base slot to keep the cards and hourglass timer. Also, you can use the box to hold the main board in place which is kind of neat! I can see that it also challenges the kids to think and solve the problem – because when you put in 4 pegs into one slot, you cannot move other pegs horizontally, making tiny tots to think of a way to solve it. I like it. Would recommend this toy!

My toddler enjoys
I got this for my toddler and I to play together. He is 3 and he enjoys trying to figure out how to get the right prices in order. It is just challenging enough to work their little brain without it being so challenging that they become frustrated. Very nice quality solid wood. This will definitely be around for a few years, this is a good one if you have kids who are rough on things.. they canât easily break this. I appreciate the way it all packs away neatly within the contents on the game. Would 10/10 recommend!
Très bien et merci –

Yup, pretty awesome. Just like pictured and described, slide the buttons around to complete the puzzle, and (I believe) 36 different puzzles to complete, not bad. The puzzles are numbered as well so you can keep track of whether or not you’ve done them. But every time you start a puzzle it’s like you’re doing it from scratch again coz the pieces are always gonna be in different places. One side is just circles, the other has patterns. Very simple, yet very attractive. Perfect for the car! Very happy and would def purchase as a gift.
