Kudos for bringing engineering to kids!
This kit allows you to do 10 engineering projects (although just one at a time). The kit comes with a plastic, yellow and black tool box that looks better than that sounds. It stores ALL the parts and directions (itâs only roughly about 12âL by 6â H by 6â W). The parts are lightweight, rounded, plastic but appear to be high quality – I didnât have any troubles with the threads etc. You will need to supply two AA batteries and a smallish Phillips screwdriver to install them but everything else is provided for you. I ordered this to eventually give to my 6 yo grandson who enjoys Legos as I thought he would be used to similar directions and enjoy having creations with power to move. So this review is written from the perspective of someone coming to kits like this for the first time after experience with normal Legos. The first thing I will have to teach my grandson is how to fasten the clasp on the toolbox so it doesnât come open and all the nuts and bolts come flying out. I did the first project, a bulldozer, to check how difficult it is to build with this kit. There is a learning curve on these coming from building Legos – you have to get used to what parts are what. Secondly, you are not simply placing bricks on top of each other – you are threading things through a bolt in a particular order and orientated a specific way so it takes a minute to know what to put where from the directions. A red line on the directions helps you get the correct order. However, the biggest hurdle is that a lot more dexterity is needed than when building regular Legos. For example: you might have to hold a wrench onto a bolt threaded through something, then use the screwdriver to tighten it (see pic). It is a two handed manipulation. Having said that, it is really fun to see your creation move (you can go backwards and forwards). Although it wouldnât be feasible perhaps to include all the parts to do all 10 projects at once, I wish there was a kit that allowed you to build at least 5 at a time. I know my grandson will not want to break apart his creations even when he can do another. Even I am reluctant to do it :). My grandson at 6 may not have the dexterity and patience quite yet for this kit but I think it wonât take long. I will hold on to this and give it to him when the time is right. We could do it together which would be fun but Iâd like him to be able to be a little more self-sufficient than he is right now. If I was going to improve it at all, I would want a short description of what each of the projects is and what it does to add to the educational value. There are also two parts that I had a hard time telling apart at first so I would want a better picture of those. I am really excited to give this to my grandson though. There is a lot of educational value here but I am just anticipating a lot of fun. It if had to pick, I would say this is best for older than 6, maybe 8+ if you want them to do it mostly on their own but it depends on the kid.. I am impressed that they were able to get so much engineering into such a reasonably priced âtoy.â

Great building toy
You have 10 different possibilities to build but only 1 can be built at a time. Wished you could build more than one at a time as my son would like that better. You will need a small screwdriver and 2 AA batteries to get it to moving. It is a nice set for building construction toys.

So many options: good for multiple ages: easy to follow instructions. Suggest help 4 younger kids
I got this as a birthday gift for my soon to be 10 year old grandson who loves everything with motors and wheels. This set allows the ability to create multiple projects and the instructions appear relatively easy to follow though I recommend adult help for younger kids. The pieces seem fairly durable and everything comes arranged in multiple packages within a relatively small box. For all a kid can do with the set the price point strikes me as very reasonable, especially when compared to other certain brands I could name. It is too soon to know if every piece will work since this remains an as yet I completed project but if any problems arise I will update this review. My grandson will likely start putting these vehicles together the same moment he opens this in another week so it will be easy to update if needed. For now, my perusal of the contents left me very favorably impressed.

Cool STEM toy
This 10 in 1 toy is a great gift to any kid who is into building toys. Made of high quality plastic, these toys seem sturdy.Even though these are 10 in 1, not all of them can be built at the same time. Each piece can be used only once to build a model. Instructions could be better.

Useful Introduction to Tools
I am a harsh critic of toys. This one immediately strict me in the brilliant integration of packaging to product. The illustrated cardboard box utilizes cut outs so that the child may manipulate the internal construction box handle and latch.Ten separate creations are possible with the provided âexploded viewâ instructions. The child should have some concept of multiplication since 3x means that three of the component type are required for the step.A plastic socket profile screwdriver and wrench are provided for the fasteners used (nothing in kit utilizes snap together components). Everything in kit is big enough to be easily manipulated except for the polarized electrical used between the battery chamber and the drive motor (which I think is a failing). An ideal working environment would be to assemble within a puzzle type box half (to keep components from being lost on carpet) with components sorted within cells of an egg carton.Everything is nicely crafted and fits together well. Worth consideration.

Creative play
This building set is fun, creative and interactive for a kid. Parts can be modified to several vehicles. The material seems to be good. The set is a bit smaller than i expected but it is still fun for a kid
