Great Learning Toy for Nieces/Nephews
Being a bit of a nerd I want to have toys that are both fun while teaching kids something. This building kit allows me to do just that. The plastic feels strong and sturdy, the parts included allow for tons of different creations with some cool step-by-step instructions for some specific designs. Knowing Iâd be helping the little ones build with this kit I havenât had any issues but it did seem odd itâs rated down to 4 years old. No way kids that young would be able to figure this all out.Regardless itâs a great set, has plenty of options to keep kids entertained, and they get some creative experience building something with their hands. Quite happy with this kit.

Great STEM project – younger age range will most likely need help
I’ve see similar kits but what attracted me to this one is that the models can actually move. There are some very similar models, but, officially, you can build 10 different models with this project. There are only enough pieces to build just one at a time which may frustrate some kids. The younger age range will most likely need help. There is a learning curve on these coming from building Legos – you have to get used to what parts are what. Secondly, you are not simply placing bricks on top of each other – you are threading things through a bolt in a particular order and orientated a specific way so it takes a minute to know what to put where from the directions. However, the biggest hurdle is that a lot more dexterity is needed than when building regular Legos. For example: you might have to hold a wrench onto a bolt threaded through something, then use the screwdriver to tighten it. It is a two handed manipulation. Having said that, it is really fun to see your creation move (you can go backwards and forwards). At least these bolts and nuts are much larger than the metal ones in Erector and other similar sets and the longer pieces have a bit of give in them – they are colorful and pleasant to work with. Although it wouldnât be feasible perhaps to include all the parts to do all 10 projects at once, I wish there was a kit that allowed you to build at least 5 at a time. I know my grandson will not want to break apart his creations even when he can do another. Even I am reluctant to do it :). I am really excited to give this to my grandson though. There is a lot of educational value here and I am anticipating a lot of fun. If I had to pick, I would say this is best for older than 6, maybe 8+ if you want them to do it mostly on their own but it depends on the kid. It comes in a see-through plastic tub with a handle that can latch closed – a great idea with the number of small bolts and screws (definitely of a size that represents a choking hazard for younger siblings).

fun toy
The Educational Construction Blocks Kit has been a great addition to our toy collection. The kit offers a wide variety of pieces that allow for endless creativity and learning. The blocks are durable and well-made, standing up to rough play. The instructions are clear, making it easy for kids to build different models. One minor issue is that some of the smaller pieces can be easy to lose, but overall, the kit is fantastic. Itâs been a great tool for developing fine motor skills and encouraging imaginative play.

Great Learning Kit
I recently received the STEM Toys for Boys Kids Gift: 10 in 1 Electric Building Toys, and I couldnât be more pleased with the experience. When we opened the sturdy, see-through storage box, I was impressed by the vibrant colors and variety of pieces. The set includes 126 components designed to build ten different models, from bulldozers to helicopters, which adds a delightful touch to the creative play. I appreciate that this building set encourages children to explore concepts from science and engineering while having fun.The step-by-step guide booklet is very easy to follow. There was a slight learning curve, as this set requires a different approach than basic building blocks like Legos. It uses bolts, nuts, and a screwdriver, which means some assistance might be needed at first, particularly with the two-handed manipulation of tools. However, I loved being involved in the process, as it provided quality bonding time. The electric feature that allows the models to move adds an exciting dimension. Watching his creations zoom back and forth brought him endless joy, and he was thrilled to tell imaginative stories about his vehicles. While the fact that you can only construct one model at a time might frustrate some kidsâespecially when they want to keep buildingâit’s a great opportunity for them to focus and fully explore each design before moving on. The only downside I noticed is the potential choking hazard due to smaller parts, which is something to keep in mind if you have younger siblings. Overall, I highly recommend this building set as a gift for children aged 4-12; it fosters creativity and critical thinking and provides countless hours of entertainment and learning.

Fantastic build, but debatable age range
I recently purchased this STEM toy set to use with kids at a youth program I work for. I tested it out ahead of time by assembling one of the guided builds from the instruction booklet. A long standing Lego fan, I appreciate a fun and satisfying build and this was most certainly very enjoyable. It took me 23 minutes to build the motorized race car pictured in my images. This build was a 13 step process with every step listing the required parts as well as the assembly steps in a single image. After years of Lego building experience I would convert this build to a 12+ age range by Lego standards. That said, people often move ahead of Lego age recommendations so I’d say practically speaking this motorized build is for 8+ overall. The included storage bin is handy, the parts are colorful, some being hard plastic while others being bendable adding an interesting twist to traditional building experience. Batteries are required here yet are NOT included and neither is a small screw driver needed to unlock the battery compartment. 4.5 stars rounding to 5 overall!

Versatile
I thought it would be a bigger set but nonetheless it was still good especially for gifting. It has plenty of combinations to keep a kid entertained for a good while and it doesn’t feel flimsy.
