My boys love it. It is durable. I thought it was all metal but some of it is plastic – basically all of the black parts are a hard plastic that does not seem cheaply made.The track that goes on the wheels does come off somewhat easily for kids like my 3yr old who likes to test things to the limi, but it can also be put back on.Anything that loads and dumps items is a big win at our house!

I was worried about the sturdiness of this toy. However it has stood up to the destructive force of a toddler. My grandson loves playing with it outside. It withstands rocks, sand, and dirt. Would definitely buy again for another grandson.

This is definitely not a Tonka, because of the plastic loader, the most important part, but otherwise I was happy with it.

Not enough steel parts. Great toy but get rid of some of the plastic. I bought dump truck last year and so much better made. The all of the excavator should be steel not plastic. This is not strong enough and when try to push it the track works way off.
