Every child that touches it enjoys it
Pretty well made, interesting for kids, encourages imaginative play. I actually bought it for my 1yoâs 1st birthday, and while he couldnât press the buttons at the time, every other kid there, including several teenage cousins, had a turn messing with it and most of them asked a parent to buy them one.Lights are nice and bright. Had to put some cardboard pieces in the battery receptacle to keep the batteries in place, as they were popping out of place when the baby threw it. So while having to do that was slightly annoying, the fact that it has survived my 1yo throwing it over and over again makes up for that.Batteries lasted about six-eight weeks, but my toddler kept leaving the lights on, so Iâm surprised they made it that long. The 1yo is now 14 months and can work about half the lights, but doesnât have the finger strength for the switches.I think the value for the money is great, since it consistently gets picked up and played with by somebody or other. It was smaller than I imagined but I was happy about that, as we have limited space.10/10 would buy again.

Great Purchase
This is one of the best purchases Iâve ever made! My 2 year old is obsessed. Itâs such a fun toy to keep him occupied and it also helps him work on his fine motor skills. Would buy this again 100 times. The only negative Iâve found is that the batteries come loose if the toy is dropped hard, so youâll have to unscrew the cover to the battery compartment to fix it, and screw it back on super frequently until they understand they canât be super rough with it.

Fun for toddlers but not toddler proof
I got twoâ one for my kids and one for my nephew. I figured the wood would be sturdy and even if the batteries run out the kids would still enjoy flipping the switches without the lights. The box says ages 3+ due to choking hazard but I donât see anything that is an obvious choking hazard. My 1yo and my 3yo love it. The 1yo has been carrying it around nonstop. But it slid off the table once and landed face down (a 3 foot drop) and stopped working. Once I tapped it hard on my hand (face up) it started working again, which made me think either the batteries can knock out of place easily or perhaps some other inner mechanism can. Either way, a toy for toddlers should be a little more drop proof. This has happened more than once so far where I have to âfixâ it for the kids because it got dropped or bumped too hard and I basically have to tap the back of it a few times for it to work again. Maybe Iâll try putting a little something in the battery compartment to ensure itâs not the batteries bumping out of place. Annoying, but for the price itâs still quite entertaining for the littles.

Very fun, but broke
I bought this for Christmas for my one year old son who lives buttons and lights. Weâve had it about 6 MONTHS now and it has slowly fallen apart. Today a switch actually fell out (see image). First the metal toggle switches pushed in, making them difficult to switch. The. The green button quit working properly. Everything else has held up wel though. We did have to put a spacer piece (cardboard) in the battery compartment when we got it becasue their was too much space for the batteries to wiggle and loose connection.Like other reviews I also would repeat that o wish it had a master switch to turn the whole thing off rather than have to manually do each light.Battery life is good. Itâs gotten left on for many long periods of time (hours) and we still have not had to change the original batteries.Think itâs a great concept and my son loved it. Just wish it had been made more durable.

Techy Dad looking for something to inspire your kids? Try this!
This wooden busy-board is a fun addition to any child’s toy collection. It stimulates active hand-eye coordination as well as motor-function development. As a dad who likes to get stimulating toys for his children, I was looking for something different that could be both fun and educational. This seems to fit the bill.Pros:The many buttons, knobs and switches have multiple strength ratings enabling your child to develop strategies for how to turn them off/on. Some buttons (momentary on/off) are relatively easy to manipulate while others (hat switches, rocker switches) require more dexterity in the fingers to move. The bright colors and differences in switches allow the child to see the outcome of actions. “Turn on this switch, a bright red color comes on. Twist this knob, and the yellow color becomes brighter.”It is intriguing and makes you feel good as a parent when your child connects the input/output of their actions.Cons:There is one connection which is a small length of wire with a connector that has to be plugged into a slot to turn the light on. While certainly not long enough for a child to wrap around their neck, they may become interested to see what it tastes like. Ensure you, as a parent, are not allowing this behavior and redirect them to the other switches, buttons, etc.The battery box has a void which will allow the batteries (2 AAA batteries) to become dislodged if the board is dropped or thrown. As a resourceful dad, I made a wedge out of a piece of plastic that keeps tension on the batteries under their cover, to prevent them from being dislodged. A simple fix, but if you are not aware of this, you may think it is defective.Other than these 2 cons, the toy is very useful, worth the money, and adds value to playtime with your child.

I bought this for the kids ( patients) I work on in my dental chair to keep them busy while I talk to the mom.Every kid loves it !! In fact they love it a little too much and donât want to give it back at the end of the appointment ð Itâs really good for 2-4 year olds but even moms and dads want to try it :)Great gift idea .

A nice tactile toy with no annoying sounds but there are a couple of small things that could be fixed. First, the dimmer knob with the yellow light pulls right off and poses a choking hazard. If this could be properly adhered then I’d say this toy would be appropriate for toddlers as well. Second, the battery compartment has empty space so that when the toy is dropped from almost any height, the batteries become dislodged. I fixed this by gluing a small piece of wood to the inside of the battery cover.
